Press Release: Moody Air Force Base
MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. – At approximately noon today, an HH-60G Pave Hawk assigned to Moody AFB executed a precautionary landing at Hahira Middle School in Hahira, Ga. during a routine maintenance check flight.
The helicopter safely landed and first responders immediately secured the scene. After evaluation by aircraft maintenance specialists from Moody, the HH-60 took off and returned to the base at approximately 1:50 p.m.
The precautionary landing was a safety measure taken when a light on the aircraft indicated a potential mechanical issue. In this instance, standard protocol dictates the pilot land the aircraft in a safe location as soon as possible.

A helicopter from Moody Air Force Base has landed at Hahira Middle School because of an in-flight emergency.
No injuries were reported.
