Tallahassee, FL - Team members with the Florida House of Representatives and the Senate played a friendly game of putt putt golf Thursday.
The competition was a part of Florida Golf Day at the Capitol.
Top representatives of Florida's Golf Industry shared the message on the positive impact of golf on the state's economy, environment and community.
They say Florida's direct golf economy is about $7.2 billion, generating a total economic impact of $13.8 billion.
Sen. Aaron Bean participated Thursday and lead with seven holes in one. He says, "We want to celebrate golf in Florida. What a tremendous impact it has on bringing people here and letting them spend money. It's great for Florida, great for Tallahassee."
The Florida Golf Economy Report says golf supports nearly 167,000 jobs in Florida with an annual wage income of $4.7 billion.
