A teenager escapes a house fire unharmed.
Tallahassee firefighters say they were called to a home on the 3200 block of Sharer Road around 11:40 Monday morning.
Firefighters say they had to use force to get into the house.
They say a grease fire started in the kitchen, and say the fire heavily damaged the kitchen, living room, and the attic.
We're told one person was home at the time, but was able to get out okay.
Damage is estimated at around $60,000.

The Tallahassee Fire Department is working a fire in the 3200 block of Sharer Road according to Mike Bellamy with TFD.
The fire began in the kitchen and there was heavy damage to the kitchen and living room. A teenager was at the home at the time of the fire, but was able to escape. On arrival, TFD firefighters had to break into the home. The fire spread to parts of the attic and there is smoke damage throughout the house.
The damage is estimated at $60,000.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
