Tallahassee FL- Keep in mind when the temperatures drop those furry critters we love so much need more than just their coats to keep them warm.

We visited the Tallahassee animal shelter and they told us when we are cold you can bet your pet is cold too. they have prepared for the cold weather themselves by moving all the dogs inside and placing heaters throughout the building.

Erika Leckington from Tallahassee Animal Shelter said, "So just like we don't want to leave a dog in a hot car we also want to make sure we aren't leaving our pets out in this weather and also when it's very cold out like tomorrow."

If you do have an outdoor animal, they suggest bringing them inside. if you cant, make sure they have somewhere warm to sleep with plenty of blankets or hay. Also make sure your pet has plenty of water and food.
