There's no better place to hold a Memorial Day ceremony than at a park built to honor veterans.
About 200 people gathered at Veteran's Memorial Park in Perry to remember soldiers who lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
The JROTC attended, as well as surviving veterans, whose names were called to be recognized.
This year's ceremony paid special tribute to World War II veterans.
"This is just our way of saying, 'thank you' to all the veterans especially the ones that made the ultimate sacrifice. If it were not for them, we would not be able to stand here today and gather the way we are," Pam Feagle, Chair of Memorial Day Ceremony said.
Feagle said the memorial service has grown over the years.
This is the tenth year it's being held at Veteran's Memorial Park.
