Tallahassee, FL --May 19, 2012--
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children says nearly 2,000 children go missing every day.
That's why the North Florida Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives or 'NOBLE' hosted an "ID A Child' event Saturday 5-19-12. The free event offered parents a chance to have their children's information taken down which can be used to help locate their child should they go missing.
"These kind of things really help parents feel safe that they have some information that they can fall back on if they child is missing or something happens," says Silvester Dawson of NOBLE.
At last year's event in Quincy, NOBLE registered over 100 children.
