Inmate Found Dead in Madison County Jail
Madison County, FL - November 7, 2012
Madison County Sheriff Benjamin J. Stewart requested assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Live Oak Field Office to investigate the death of inmate Jacob Allen Porter, 22. Porter was found dead Tuesday, Nov. 6, in his cell at the Madison County Jail.
Porter was in jail on charges of burglary, possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of theft.
FDLE is conducting the death investigation and providing forensic services.
