Lowndes Co., GA - If you were waiting on someone Sunday and they said they were late because of traffic, that may be the truth.

It appears a semi-truck trailer exploded on Interstate-75. Traffic was backed up for miles, moving at a slow crawl for several hours.

It happened just across from the Georgia Information Center near the state line. That's about a mile south of Exit 5 for Lake Park, Georgia.

We are still waiting on information from the florida highway patrol as to what happened.
