Monticello, FL - Main Street Monticello will present an evening of “Pioneer Journey Stories” with Jack Carswell and Buck Bird, who will tell us how their family came to Florida in the early 1800s.

This event will be in the Jefferson County Courthouse, Courthouse Circle, Monticello, FL 32344, on Thursday, January 31, 2013, 6:30 PM. There is no admission charge. The audience will have time to ask questions.

Main Street Monticello’s “Florida Pioneer Journey Stories” are a part of the Smithsonian Institution Exhibit titled “Journey Stories” coming to Monticello next winter. Main Street Monticello, Florida Humanities Council and other community groups will sponsor several local events in 2013 leading up to this six-week-long exhibit to be held in the Jefferson Arts Gallery.
