Tallahassee, FL - The Leon County Sheriff's Office honored its top deputy of the year Tuesday evening.

The award was part of the Citizen's Academy graduation. Rob Waller was awarded the top deputy honor. Waller has spent more than 20 years with LCSO working to keep children safe from predators and human trafficking.

He says that having his colleagues there to take part in the award ceremony made the night special.

"They're like family.," said Waller. "[I've] been working with all of those people in there for a long time and I look at them as family and they always will be."
