Chipley – Motorists can expect lane closures Monday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 14 on State Road (S.R.) 59 in Monticello. APAC construction crews will pave a section of the corridor between I-10 and S.R. 20 (U.S. 27). Lane closures will occur 24-hours a day to allow workers to complete prior to the weekend. This work is part of the $2 million contract to resurface S.R. 59 between I-10 and U.S. 27.
Also taking place in Jefferson County, a Florida Department of Transportation geotechnical crew will perform pavement coring and evaluations on U.S. 98 at the S.R. 59 intersection, Wednesday, Sept. 12. Lane closures will remain in effect from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. EDT.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to pay attention and use caution when driving through the work zone.
