Large Turnout for Tallahassee Marathon

Runners in the Big Bend area woke up early Sunday morning to run. The 39th annual Tallahassee Marathon was held drawing in record numbers.

The race started on Florida State's campus near Doak Campbell Stadium.

Event organizers placed mile marker 26 in honor of Mike Schneider, he was an individual who was insturmental in getting the course moved to FSU as a start and finish area.

Many runners say they are running for a cause, or in memory of a loved one.
