Last Minute Push to Sway Voters Before Election

Tallahassee, FL - Local Democrats were in high gear on the eve of the 2012 election. The Obama campaign headquarters in Tallahassee made their final day push to rally voters to get out to the polls.

"It's knocking on doors, it's phone calls, it's making sure people have the information and not only knowing that it is election day but making sure they have the proper polling location, the proper time they're open," said Eric Conrad of Obama for America.

While President Obama spent part of Monday with "the Boss" Bruce Springsteen in Wisconsin, Governor Mitt Romney hit four swing states including Florida.

Meanwhile local GOP supporters were doing their part. Leon County GOP Vice Chairman of Political Affairs Bill Helmich hosted a sign making party for republican candidates.

"When they get to the polls the last impression they're going to have are these signs. There are 97 polling locations in Leon County so luckily we have representatives of the college republicans out here and other groups helping to put these signs up," said Helmich.

Will the push make a difference? We should all know by Wednesday morning, but if the race is as close as some polls suggest, we could be having flashbacks of the 2000 presidential election.
