It's primary election day in Florida and polls have been open since 7am Tuesday morning.
People all over Leon County headed to one of the 91 polling places throughout the county to cast their vote.
The Leon County Supervisor of Elections, Ion Sancho says he's hoping that at least 30% of registered voters throughout the county turn out for Tuesday's primaries.
One Leon County voter says even though it's only the primary elections it's still important for her to participate.
"I certainly think it's my responsibility to vote. I hope that I made a difference. I know some races are going to be tighter than others so at the end of the day maybe my vote will be the one that matters," Cragin Mosteller said.
The number of voters in this year's early voting primary election has exceeded the numbers of early voting in both the 2010 and 2012 election primaries.
Polls are open until 7pm.
