Neighbors Concerned About Dangerous Road After Deadly Crash

Leon County, FL- On Saturday, an accident took the life of a 43-year-old Havana man when his Harley crashed head-on into an SUV on Old Bainbridge Road by Taylorville Way.

For those who live along this stretch of road, these accidents are nothing new.

"We average at least one a month. Sometimes more often," says Robert McIntyre who lives along Old Bainbridge Road.

The speed limit here is 35 miles per hour. But neighbors say cars sometimes go twice that. And with these sharp curves, that can make for a deadly combination.

"People are not slowing down for the curves. They've been nicknamed over the years dead man's curve one and two," says Scott McGuire who lives nearby.

Neighbors say they want to see Sheriff's Office patrol these streets more. They believe that may get the attention drivers, leading them to slow down drivers and help save lives.
