On Saturday, December 21, 2013, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office
will be hosting a multi-agency Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint in the 2500 block of West Tharpe Street. The Comprehensive Roadside Sobriety Checkpoint will start at 12:00 AM
and conclude at 2:00 AM. All traffic will be stopped. Members of the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the Tallahassee Police Department, the FAMU Police Department and the FSU Police Department will be checking drivers for signs of impairment while looking for tag or license violations, seatbelt violations and verifying vehicle insurance requirements.
These efforts are focused at reducing impaired driving while ensuring
that vehicles are being safely operated in our community.
