TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Leon County Tax Collector’s Lake Jackson customer service location at North Monroe Street and Fred George Road is closed due to flooding.

The flooding was caused by a leak in the water supply system that resulted in damage. The water supply line has been repaired and the property is now being restored.

Personnel assigned to this location are working in other service centers to assist customers. Customers are encouraged to visit the following customer service centers until repairs are finished:

  • Metro 8 (1726 Metropolitan Blvd., Suite 102)

  • Cross Creek (1210 Capital Circle South East)

  • Southside (3477 South Monroe Street)

  • Westside (870 Blountstown Highway)

Officials say that the office will re-open to the public at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2.

"We regret the inconvenience this situation has caused for our customers," Leon County Tax Collector, Doris Maloy said.

All office locations will be closed on Monday, September 1 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
