Leon Welcomes New Football Coach to Lion's Den

Leon Principal Billy Epting and Athletic Director Mark Feely have announced the hiring of Tim Cokely as Leon High School’s new head football coach. One of the state’s most successful high school football coaches, Coach Cokely brings a Hall of Fame type resume to one of the state’s most storied football programs.

Coach Tim Cokely Bio - Coach Cokely brings 18 years of head coaching experience to the Leon High school football program as well as an impressive 165-53 head coaching record. Experienced as a program builder, Coach Cokely and his staff has built 4 different programs into championship quality, state recognized teams. Included in these accomplishments are 6 state championships and a record 23 consecutive playoff wins locally at North Florida Christian. Coach Cokely comes to Leon from Marianna High school where he inherited a team that had only won 11 games the previous 3 seasons. This past season, his first at Marianna, they were 8-2 which was the most wins at that school since 2006.
