Former City Commissioner Debbie Lightsey is endorsing Daniel Parker for Tallahassee City Commission Seat One.
Lightsey made the formal announcement at a press conference Thursday morning. Lightsey is the longest running commissioner. She served five four year terms on the commission, beginning back in 1989.
"I think Daniel Parker has displayed his commitment to this community. He's an honest man. he's in this for all the right reasons. And I think he's the best candidate int his race," said Lightsey.
Lightsey went on to say she knows many people see Parker as the underdog in the race. She said she feels some of the other candidates would be a step backwards for Tallahassee.
