Local Community Center Hosting Back to School Bash

As the first week of the school year wraps up a local community center hosts a back to school bash.

The Lawrence Gregory Communtiy Center in Tallahassee held the Dade St. Back-2-School Jamboree today.

Parents and kids enjoyed free food and live entertainment along with free school supply give-aways.

The event was a community wide effort.

It was sponsored by the city of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation, the Tallahassee Urban League, Coaches Closet, and About My Father's Business.


The Lawrence Gregory Community Center is hosting a back to school bash!

The Dade Street Back-2-School Jamboree will be Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be free food and live entertainment . There will also be free giveaways such as book bags, school supplies, clothes, shoes and much more! Parent Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and parents must be present to receive school supplies.

The event is sponsored by the City of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation, the Tallahassee Urban League, Coaches Closet and About My Father's Business, Inc.
