Food, Drink and Fundraising at Local 9/11 Benefit

The Capital Area Chapter of the Red Cross paid its respects to 9/11 with a fundraiser Tuesday at the Mockingbird Restaurant in Tallahassee.
A portion of the money spent on food and drinks would go directly to the Red Cross. The band "Fried Turkeys" performed for free.
"I think 9/11's faded in some circles but we just want to bring it to the forefront that it was monumental for all those involved and the heroes that were especially involved," Red Cross Capital Area Chapter CEO Dan Samborn said.
Super Lube donated a check for $1,900 for the Red Cross. That money will go to help with the local cost of previous tropical storms.
