Tallahassee FL- Veterans day is around the corner and here in Tallahassee that means the annual Veterans Day parade.
But, the parade doesn't go on without the proper funds.
President of Vet Events here in Tallahassee Joe West, "If you don't take care of the people who defend your freedom then the next time you need your freedom defended you may not find them."
One local restaurant has decided to show their support for Veterans one plate at a time.
If you flash this flier at your waiter at the Ruby Tuesdays off Capital Circle in Tallahassee then 20% of your purchase will go towards Vet Events Tallahassee.
Veteran Kevin Culligan, "I got really excited as a Veteran myself, its a great way to give back to the community and back to our veterans. So I got really excited for it."
Culligan currently serves under the National Guard. He hopes this event will help him serve the soldiers who came before him.
"Veterans lay down the ultimate sacrifice unfortunately it comes down to it and we are always looking for ways to give back to our veterans and our community."
West just says he hopes people come with a big appetite. West said, "I hope they will go to Ruby Tuesdays this Thursday, Friday and Saturday to eat."
In order to contribute you must present the Vet Events flyer to your waiter.
The flyer can be found at: http://veteventstally.org/
