A local, family-owned farm just announced a new partnership with the Georgia Conservancy.

Sweet Grass Dairy in Thomasville will be working with the conservancy to increase awareness of sustainable agriculture.

Conservancy members will be making house visits all over Georgia to talk to people about being environmentally sound.

Sweet Grass Dairy, known for their handcrafted cheeses, will cater each gathering.

"Our role in this is to supply them with cheese to make sure that when people arrive they get a good meal and also get to sample some stuff that is a direct benefit of some of the things they do at the state house," said Sweet Grass Dairy's Communications Director, Mat Willey.

Sweet Grass Dairy does not use growth hormones or antibiotics on their cows, and uses grazing methods that reduce erosion.

If you are interested in hosting a house meeting, contact the Georgia Conservancy.
