Bozeman, MT – A Valdosta man was found dead early Thursday morning at Yellowstone National Park.
Park officials tell Eyewitness News he was reported missing Tuesday afternoon by friends. The last contact they had with him was a cell phone call. Park officials say he was hiking a mountain alone called Electric Peak. Search teams started looking that night using dogs and helicopters.
Parker's body was discovered below the summit of the mountain early Thursday morning. The cause of death is still under investigation.
Parker's aunt Karen Bennett says he moved to Montana one month ago after living in Valdosta. He also graduated from Lowndes High School.
