Crawfordville, FL - Thanks to a good Samaritan the missing child was found safe and south this afternoon.

One of our viewers said he saw the report on the missing child report on WCTV.TV and knew a child by that name was staying down the street from him.

"I knew a child staying just down the road that had the same name so I called a resident there to try and confirm that's who that was and they positively identified the mother and child both so I called TPD and let them know," said Charles Richards.

A three-year-old juvenile was found safe and sound by Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol deputies Tuesday, April 1 after the WCSO received a tip from the U.S. Marshal’s North Florida Regional Task Force, according to Sheriff Charlie Creel.

Information received by the sheriff’s office noted that Landon Eilers and his biological mother, Wendy Barber Hardacre, 42, may be located in the Stokley Road area of Crawfordville. WCSO deputies canvassed the area and spoke to witnesses who recognized the mother and son. Landon had been listed as missing and potentially in danger by Tallahassee Police Department officials.

Hardacre was taken into custody on Stokley Road without incident. Eilers was safe and healthy. The child happily accepted a candy bar from Sgt. Jeremy Johnston after he was found. The mother and child were turned over to the Task Force at approximately 12:40 p.m.

Sgt. Johnston was assisted by Sgt. Billy Jones, Deputy Nick Boutwell and Deputy Anthony Paul.

Landon Eilers has been located and is unharmed.

The Tallahassee Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is seeking information on the location of Landon Eilers.

Landon is a 3-year-old while male, 3'00", 30 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue/gray eyes.

Landon is believed to be in the company of his biological mother, Wendy Hardacre. Ms. Hardacre is about 5’03”, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and dark brown or black hair. The mode of travel is unknown at this time.

Ms. Hardacre was last seen with Landon on March 6, 2014, in the area of Hartsfield Road, in Tallahassee, FL, around 5:00 pm. There is a concern for the child’s well-being at this time.
