Madison Deputies Arrest Teen For Attempted Murder

Madison County, FL -- Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that at approximately 9:30 AM on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an individual alleging he had been shot and was at his residence on Georgetown Road. MCSO deputies and emergency medical services personnel immediately responded to 600 SW Georgetown Road and confirmed the subject had been shot. The subject was identified as Brandon Rashard Smith, DOB: 10/17/1986. Officers on scene secured the area and the victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee Regional Operations Center assisted in processing the crime scene and is providing investigative assistance to the MCSO Criminal Investigation Division.
Special Agents with The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee Regional Operations Center and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division developed information identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting. The Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team assisted in the execution of the Arrest and Search Warrants on the suspect and his residence without further incident.

Arrested and charged is the following:

Shayon Quartez Davis, B/M, DOB: 02/18/1995 of 305 happy Drive Madison, Fl. 32340

1. Attempted Murder
2. Armed Burglary with Assault

The victim remains hospitalized in stable, but serious condition.
