Madison's annual Down Home Days continued with a parade, food vendors and crafts booths. Some of the activities of Friday evening got rained out but Saturday morning began with a temperature of 46 degrees and no rain.

The 10:00 AM parade was led by the City of Madison Chief of Police Gary Calhoun. He later estimated a crowd of 5,000 had entered the downtown area of Madison to enjoy the various events for children as well as adults.

The parade included the Vaquero Guard band from Madison County High School, Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS units as well as military personnel and many more.

Rock climbing was popular with young people and the smaller youth enjoyed the train ride experience.

Fun, food, and fellowship was in abundance during the annual festival that is sponsored by the Greater Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
