At exactly 11:00 AM on the 11th day of the 11th month in 2013 a standing-room only crowd gathered at the Madison County Community Bank to remember all who have served and are serving in the United States military.
Patriotic music and inspirational talks reminded all attending of the importance of service to our country and the need to serve those who have given time, talents and lives to assure our freedom. Veterans from World War II through the current mid-eastern wars were present and honored.
And, as always, the POW's and the Missing In Action were recognized. This was the seventh year the program has been hosted at the bank. A larger facility may be needed in the future.
