Madison County, FL -- June 9, 2012
On Saturday, June 9, 2012 a Hurricane Readiness Event was held at Studstill Lumber on S. Duval Street in Madison, Florida. Madison County Emergency Management set up a display and brought in their new rehab vehicle and the emergency response trailer. Tom Cisco, Emergency Manager and his Program Coordinator Leigh Webb staffed the outdoor event and were not deterred by the rain. The 2012 Hurricane Guide was given free to all visitors and an emergency kit with over $100 worth of essential supplies was won by Nathanial Williams of Lamont, Florida in the drawing at the end of the day. Studstill's provided food for all who came and Leigh Webb's husband brought the grill and did the cooking.
Displays in the store offered shoppers what they needed to complete their preparations for the 2012 hurricane season.
