Thomasville, GA- A man is behind bars tonight, accused of stealing more than 35 peanut trailers.
Thomas County Sheriff's Deputies say for weeks they've been investigating a string of thefts from local farms and peanut factories.
Surveillance video from one of the thefts led deputies to Jerrod Trulock.
They say Trulock was stealing the trailers then selling them as scrap to a local recycling company.
"He's in the Decatur County Jail right now facing three counts of felony theft over there involving a similar type of incident as well as a drug charge and as soon as he makes bond in Decatur County, we'll bring him over here to face charges on numerous thefts here," said Captain Steve Jones with the Thomas County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say the average price of the trailers were between $5,000-$6,000 a piece.
They say Trulock could also face charges in Mitchell and Brooks County for similar thefts.
