Man Sentenced To 20 Years For Shooting Death of Ga. Liquor Store Clerk

Decatur County, GA- A man accused of murdering a Georgia liquor store clerk is headed to prison.

Brandon Smith,28, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of 29-year-old Wendy Bryan.

Bryan had been working at the Winery Liquor Store in Bainbridge back in 2001, when she was shot during an attempted armed robbery.

The case was cold for many years, but Smith was ultimately indicted by a grand jury last year.

Smith was sentenced to 20 years behind bars.
