Tallahassee, FL - A Tallahassee massage therapist was convicted today of sexually assaulting a client back in April 2012.

A jury deliberated for an hour before finding Christopher Thorpe guilty of sexual battery.

Prosecutors say the victim purchased a massage on line.

Prosecutors say the woman disrobed and laid face down on the table and that's when Thorpe assaulted her.

He'll be sentenced on August 15th.

Thorpe is still awaiting trial on charges that he sexually battered another client.

Tallahassee Police say during their investigation, eight women complained that Thorpe touched them inappropriately during a massage.

[UPDATE] April, 19, 2012

Christopher Thorpe turned himself into authorities on April 17th. The victims say Thorpe put his hands inside them. One of them claims he had sex with her. TPD says there may be more victims.

"We have these two cases but we believe that there may be someone else out there who has not come forward yet. And we would ask them to please come forward so we can put an end to this and put this person behind bars," said Officer David Northway with the Tallahassee Police Department.

Thorpe calls his business Gifted Hands but operated out of the Enjoy Life Rehabilitation Center.. He offered discount massages through the website Living Social.

The owner of Enjoy Life wants to make it clear that Thorpe was not her employee, he just rented space there.

Nicole Mortimer said she was shocked and in disbelief when investigators questioned her back on April second.

"That same day, took his key, removed his security code and escorted him off the premises," said Mortimer.

Thorpe took his massage classes at the Core Institute. He graduated two years ago.

The owner said, "We are proud of our 1300 plus graduates who have successfully and ethically practiced massage therapy."

Mortimer said she is saddened by the turn of events. She wants the public to know that massage therapy and physical therapy are safe services.

"For anybody, whether they come here or any facility, if at anytime anybody feels uncomfortable, say something. If you don't feel right, get up, leave say something," said Mortimer.

Tallahassee, FL - April 19, 2012 - Noon

Police are asking anyone who may have been sexually assaulted by a local massage therapist to come forward. The licensed therapist has already been charged with sexual battery against two of his clients.

Eyewitness News has obtained the police report. Some of the details of the case are quite graphic. According to the report, the victim had purchased a massage on the website Living Social.

The masseuse, Christopher Thorpe, is a licensed massage therapist and operated his business under the name Gifted Hands. In the report, the victim said that during her massage, Thorpe touched her inappropriately, then climbed on top of her and had sex with her. The report says the victim said she tried to push Thorpe off of her. A second victim came forward during the investigation and Tallahassee Police Officials are concerned there may be more victims out there.

"We would hope that if you experienced such a horrible situation, you would want it to be brought to light and to justice," says Officer Dave Northway with the Tallahassee Police Department.

In the report, Thorpe claims to have performed more than 300 massages. He rented space at the Enjoy Life Rehabilitation Center on South Monroe Street. However, the owner there says Thorpe was not an employee of Enjoy Life.
