Meigs Names New Police Chief
The city of Meigs, Georgia named their new police chief Monday night, January 9th.

Meigs, GA -- January 9, 2012 --
The city of Meigs, GA held a special council meeting for the second week in a row. It was the first meeting since firing former police chief Tom Close.
The council and Mayor Andrew Wurst appointed the senior most officer in the police department, Chris Luckey.

So you are forced to resign from Grady county otherwise be brought up on rape charges (just as his younger sibling, a former Meigs policeman), still get hired on at another agency only to be "promoted" to Chief?? Wake up people!!! You have just opened up a pandora's box.

Amen to that! I hope Meigs does not hire him as chief. It will be the next to the biggest mistake they made. Look at Luckeys recent history
