Skype 'Modeling Agent' Arrested For Soliciting Young Girls

By: Gina Pitisci

FDLE agents say 25 year old William Zeigler sought out young girls on and claimed to be an agent for Ikon models. Karen Parker lives in the same neighborhood as Zeigler, and says she is shocked.

"It's very surprising and it's disturbing, especially because it involves teenage kids," Karen Parker, Neighbor, said.

Agents say Zeigler would ask girls, some of them as young as 10 years old, to "audition" on Skype, eventually asking them to take all their clothes off and even asked some of the girls to strike sexually explicit poses.

"Technology is growing so fast with social networking and access to our children so now it's not that you have to worry about your children in the neighborhoods or back alleys, now you have predators that can come into your homes," Lorena Vollrath-Bueno, Division Chief, Assistant State Attorney, said.

Arrest papers say Zeigler threatened to distribute nude photos of two girls who refused to go any further. State attorney's on the case say whenever they have cases with child victims, they always try to make those a priority.

"Obviously we are still in the process of gathering reports in this case because we have reports coming in from different places and different states,” John Hutchins, Felony Division Chief, Assistant State Attorney, said. “Once we gather all that information, then we make a charging decision."

WCTV spoke to a resident who was at the address listed on Zeigler’s affidavit and they declined to comment.

WCTV tried to contact Zeiglers attorney, and did not hear back. We also want to stress that Zeigler pretended to be a recruiter for Ikon Models, but admitted to agents he wasn't in any way associated with the agency.

Tallahassee, FL - A Tallahassee man – who police say posed as a modeling agent on line – is now behind bars for soliciting young girls.

According to arrest papers, 25 year old William Zeigler claimed to be an agent with Ikon Modeling. FDLE agents say he convinced dozens of girls – some as young as 10 years old - to “audition” via Skype. Arrest papers say Zeigler would ultimately ask them to take off all their clothes.

Agents say Zeigler would then take screen shots of the girls.

Two girls say when he started asking them to do sexually explicit poses, they wanted to stop, but Zeigler threatened to distribute the pictures.

Zeigler now faces 15 felony counts including promoting sexual performance by a child and extortion. He’s being held without bond in the Leon County Jail.

*Zeigler is in no way affiliated with Ikon Modeling, nor does Ikon Modeling have anything to do with this case.
