Tallahassee, FL-A group of Tibetan monks made their way to Tallahassee Thursday.
The monks are from a Monastery in India. They were exiled from Tibet.
The monks were invited to Tallahassee by members of the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science where they performed a Mandala Ceremony.
Mandala is a Buddhist spiritual ritual. It's done as a peace offering.
It's the seventh year the museum has had monks perform the ceremony.
"They need to evoke the presence of green tara here and making offerings and requests and chat for blessings in peace and harmony," said Nawang Tenzin spokesman for the monks.
The monks also brought various artifacts with them Those artifacts will be on display at the museum until Sunday.
