Tallahassee Fire Department Release
Tallahassee, FL - December 5, 2012 - This morning at 4:40, the Tallahassee Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 8500 Block of Roberts Road. Firefighters reported heavy fire through the roof upon arrival and were unable to locate any occupants as they quickly searched home.
Firefighters extinguished the fire within twenty minutes. No injuries were reported and damages were estimated at $100,000. The two adult occupants were not home at the time of the fire and were unable to return to the home due to the damages. FHP, Leon County EMS and Talquin Electric assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office and the Tallahassee Fire Department.
