Early Morning School Bus v Fuel Tanker Crash [SLIDE SHOW]

Tallahassee, FL - November 5, 2012

The Leon County Sheriff's Office says a fuel tanker rear-ended a school bus as the drivers headed north on Highway 27, Monday morning.

No students were on the bus at the time but the driver and an adult assistant were onboard.

LCSO says the driver Zina Fishburn and her assistant, Donna Jones were injured but are expected to survive.

The tanker's driver, Jamie Underwood, wasn't injured and was cited for careless driving by LCSO.

Deputies don't believe Underwood was speeding.

We're told there wasn't any fuel in that tanker.

LCSO says Fishburn was slowing down to arrive at her first bus stop, when Underwood rear-ended the bus.

Tallahassee, FL - November 5, 2012 - 8:05 am - A 2 vehicle accident occurred at 7:30 am at 6600 North Monroe Street. One vehicle was a Leon County School Bus, WCTV was told the bus had no children on board. There were 2 occupants on the bus. The bus flipped over on its side.

TPD and TFD are responding. One injury has been reported.

The other vehicle involved was a fuel tanker, there was no fuel in the tanker.
