The Tallahassee Police Department and Target Corporation will be hosting a National Night Out Event on August 5, 2014 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Cascades Park, Tallahassee newest gathering place for local events. The “31st Annual National Night Out” is sponsored by the NATW. The Tallahassee Police Department’s Community Relations Unit, as well as local vendors, will be on-site to share home and business security information and services available to help protect you and your property. We cordially invite all citizens, local law enforcement agencies, neighborhood associations, and local officials from all surrounding counties to be part of our National Night Out 2013 Team.
The Tallahassee Police Department’s Community Relations Unit has celebrated National Night Out since the early 1990's. In the past, we’ve assisted local communities in hosting neighborhood block parties and sponsored citywide parties at Tom Brown Park and the North Florida Fairgrounds. We’ve encouraged neighborhoods to turn on their lights and “give crime a going away party.”
Be sure to be part of the nation’s largest annual crime and drug prevention event. For more information, please contact the Tallahassee Police Department’s Community Relations Unit Supervisor Artemus Shepherd at (850) 891-4302 or Artemus.Shepherd@talgov.com.
