Tallahassee, FL - There's a new leader at the Steele-Collins All Male Charter Academy in Tallahassee.

Dr. Kelvin Norton is the new headmaster. Just last month, the C.K. Steele/Leroy Collins Middle School announced it was transitioning to the all male academy.

Administrators call Dr. Norton, who is the former assistant superintendent of Jefferson County Schools, the right person for the job.

Dr. Norton says, "I think this is a wonderful opportunity for me and also for the community; for the young men that are residing here in Leon and Wakulla Counties; to give them an opportunity to be able to foster high academic standards and social and moral behavior."

The academy is accepting enrollment applications for the upcoming school year.

Parents interested should call (850) 681-1929.
