A North Carolina man accused of multiple child rape counts has been captured in Tallahassee.
41 year old Nicky Lee Anderson is accused of raping a young victim on several different occasions.
Friday, the U-S Marshals Florida Regional Fugutive Task Force arrested Anderson at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Tallahasse Mall.
U.S. Marshall Ed Spooner says the group was working on a tip Anderson had left the Miami area to come to Tallahassee.
"Spotted him going into Barnes & Noble's in the mall, some of the fugitive task force members observed him going in that area, identified him from the information they had," said Spooner. "As a result, were able to go in behind him while he ordering coffee and make an arrest without incident," he said. "So there were no problems," Spooner said.
Earlier in the day, members of the task force were searching an area near the Florida Department of Revenue near Tennessee Street and Capital Circle Northwest.
Task force members told workers there to use caution when going to the parking lot.
Spooner says Anderson's rental car had camping equipment and a bike in it.
He believes Anderson was planning to stay in the area.
