Thomasville, GA- Folks in Thomasville are inviting you to come out and participate in "The Next Level Challenge."
The 5K Obstacle Course Event is being organized, in part, by Danny Copeland. Copeland was born and raised in Meigs, Georgia and went on to play five seasons in the NFL.
Copeland says the proceeds from the obstacle run will benefit Madison Grace Stephens.
Madison was born prematurely 16 months ago in Thomasville and has since undergone multiple brain surgeries and hospitalizations.
Copeland says the obstacle course events are tough challenge events. He said some of them include:

"We've got commitments from some local tough guys, not only to help promote it, but to participate. We've got professional motocross racer Gavin Gracyk, professional MMA fighter Jeremy May, and Debrale Smiley, former TCCHS and FSU runningback with his 71 high school touchdowns," Copeland said.
He said they've also recruited a few area police officers, deputy sheriffs and firefighters to make the competitive side very
"The Next Level Challenge is more about Me-vs-Me," said Copeland. "It's about going inside yourself and bringing the absolute best that you have to the surface. Its about taking on tough challenge and absolutely refusing to quit, just as we've seen of this 16-month-old."
This event will be held on Feb. 23 at 9:00 a.m. along U.S. 19 North, 2 miles North of the Ochlocknee River, across from Sugar Mill RV Park.
