TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Officials say a 53-year-old pilot is dead after his plane nosedived on a runway of Tampa Executive Airport.
The crash happened Sunday afternoon.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say Ki L. Martin was taking off when the crash occurred. There was no word on what caused the small yellow plane to crash. No one else was aboard the plane.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
