Gadsden County, FL - The names of the three men involved in a weekend crash that left one of the men dead have been released.

"Lawrence, oh my goodness, he had such a sweet spirit." Says, Tallahassee resident, April Ivory, a friend of the victim.

Thirty-two-year-old Lawrence Williams, III died Sunday night in a crash on Interstate 10 in Gadsden County.

Ivory says, "He was the person that walked into the room and no matter what the situation was, he would always say something so funny. We would all kind of fall into laughter. He was very loving. He had such a sweet spirit, very encouraging."

Florida Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before midnight Sunday night near mile marker 162, which is about 35 miles west of Tallahassee.

Troopers say Williams was driving eastbound in the inside lane of I-10. They say the car ran off the road, hit a tree, then spun, and came to a final stop on the shoulder.

"I was sad to hear that I had lost a friend of mine." Says, Ivory.

Troopers say 33-year-old Nathan Cohen and 27-year-old Terrance White were in the car with Williams. They were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Ivory says she met all three men in her church choir. She shares a fond memory. She says, "We were singing on the highway. We had a great time. He was there, Nathan, Terrance, and there were many others. We were just singing on the highway on our way to a venue. We were praising God. I remember him praising God all the time. That's how I remember all the guys."

Friends tell us the three men were driving back from the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans last weekend.

Ivory says, "All three of them were very encouraging. They're very positive, African American, Christian men."

At last word, Cohen and White were in serious condition.

Troopers are still investigating what caused the crash. They say alcohol was not a factor.
