WINTER PARK, Fla. (AP) -- It's bad enough losing your job, but more than a dozen angry employees say they were fired from a central Florida restaurant via text message.
Employees at Barducci's Italian Bistro said they lost their jobs without notice after the restaurant suddenly closed and are still waiting for their paychecks.
Jodi Jackson said she got the text earlier this month after working at the restaurant for nearly two years.
Restaurant owner Gregory Kennedy told WFTV via text that sadly, businesses frequently close in Orlando and he is working to resolve the paycheck issues.
