Paramedic Settles Whistleblower Lawsuit

By  |

A paramedic who claims an outdated procedure is risking patients lives has settled his federal whistleblower lawsuit.

Robert Roddenberry says he was fired from Wakulla County E-M-S after he complained the agency's protocol for treating blocked airways was dangerous to patients.

As part of the settlement agreement, the county has agreed to pay Roddenberry $240-thousand dollars.

The deal also gives Roddenberry the opportunity to give a presentation to the Wakulla County administrator about how to improve the blocked airways protocol.
