Washington, D.C. (AP) - The Department of Defense says a 21-year-old soldier from Marianna, Fla., has died in Afghanistan.
The agency said Thursday in a news release that Spc. Daquane D. Rivers died Wednesday of injuries suffered in a non-combat-related incident in Paktika province.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 172nd Infantry Brigade, Grafenwoehr, Germany.
