Tallahassee, FL - Members of the Democracy for America and Concerned Citizens of Florida delivered 6,993 petitions to Florida Governor Rick Scott's office Wednesday afternoon.
The groups say the school grading system unfairly rewards wealthier schools... and say funding should go to the most needy schools.
Tazh Hall helped to deliver the petitions. He says, "The tests may not accurately reflect how good a teacher's going in one school because of the other contingent circumstances that are taking place in the neighborhood and in that community that don't allow those children an equal opportunity."
The group also delivered petitions to the Florida Speaker of the House, Senate President, and the state Board of Education.
