News Release: Planned Parenthood
TALLAHASSEE - On Monday, March 17th, Planned Parenthood members, supporters and partners will gather on the front steps of the Old Capitol to send a message to legislators that Florida families need expanded access to health care, not more attacks on women's health.
"Florida families want to see this legislature expanding access to health care, not restricting it," said Jenna Tosh, President of Planned Parenthood of Greater Orlando. "Every day in our health centers we see firsthand the need for quality affordable health care for women, men and teens here in the state of Florida."
Who: More than 100 Planned Parenthood members, supporters and partners.
What: Rally in support of expanding access to health care and in opposition to attacks on women's access to health services.
When: Monday, March 17th, 11:00AM.
Where: Front steps of the historic Old Capitol.
Over the past three years, Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida Legislature have launched an unprecedented attack on women's health, taking extreme steps to interfere with women's personal health decisions. Planned Parenthood is actively opposing six bills this year that would restrict women's access to health care.
