Law Enforcement throughout the Big Bend Area is beefing up patrols this holiday weekend to ensure safety.

The goal is to make sure people are driving safely. So they will be on the roads looking for drunk drivers, speeders and people not wearing their seat belts. They will be ticketing and arresting those who aren't abiding by the law.

In Gadsden County, the Sheriffs Office is offering a free ride program for those who aren't fit to be behind the wheel. All you have to do is call 850-627-9233 and someone will be there to pick you up.

This is all to make sure you are safe this holiday weekend.
