TALLAHASSEE, Florida-- September 29, 2012

Tallahassee police are seeking help to verify a hazing incident that led to the suspension of a Florida A&M University dance team.

The Tallahassee Police Department reported Friday it has been unable to identify any suspects or victims associated with the incident that allegedly happened over the Labor Day weekend. The department is urging residents to call police.

Interim FAMU President Larry Robinson suspended the Torque Dance team after the university received an anonymous report.

Tallahassee police said the report did not identify a victim, but said the hazing involved alcohol and forced activity.

FAMU has cracked down on hazing since the death of drum major Robert Champion last year during a band trip to Orlando. Twelve FAMU band members face felony hazing charges. They have pleaded not guilty.
